Redesigning A Private Flight App
As the private jet service industry is becoming ever-commoditized, this private charter flight company’s existing mobile app was struggling to deliver an adequate experience to customers. I designed a completely new app flow, UI design, and visual design for the app to deliver a top-notch on brand experience for the potential client.

Breaking Down the Current Experience
I outlined the customer journey and identified pre-fulfillment stages of the current app to illustrate to the stakeholders where the opportunities for improvement exist. The biggest issue with the current experience lies in several points where the potential customer must “stop” and cannot continue through the process of signing up without considerable friction. We needed to not only remove those friction points, but also elevate the experience of each of these stages in order to increase conversions from prospects to paying customers.

Authentically Rich Experiences
The company clearly wanted to veer away from the all to common imagery present in the competitive landscape which heavily slants towards ostentation and luxury appeal. However, currently their branding suffered from feeling too sterile and impersonal, as the aircraft was the only imagery present and the color palette stuck to a monochrome corporate blue. I took inspiration from travel and high-end tech industries to demonstrate how the brand could feel both luxurious and genuine, focusing on authentically rich experiences rather than the appearance of wealth and status.
A Dynamic Introduction
I replaced the current static app splash screen with a dynamic screen which gives a preview of the kind of experiences customers can expect as members of the club. I created an entirely new path for leads which introduces them to the brand and helps them choose a membership that is right for them.
Making Finding Flights an Engaging Experience
I re-imagined the process of finding a flight by deconstructing what exists today and breaking down what users might find the most valuable in an experience. I made narrowing down flight options easy and intuitive, taking advantage of the mobile swipe controls.
Changing a Flight
Plans change and when they do, our target audience needs the peace of mind that things are handled. I designed the process of changing a flight to be fast, seamless and reassuring.
